TRY LISTENING

Comedian Norm McDonald was uninvited to the Tonight Show Tuesday for something he said. And what was this offensive statement? He dared to criticize the "Me Too" movement, saying, among other things, "I do think that at some point it will end with a completely innocent person of prominence sticking a gun in his head and ending it."

The fact that he was kept off the show for expressing an opinion is disturbing enough, but the fact that the incident is indicative of a much larger problem is borderline terrifying. Far too many people (and yes, most of them are liberals) are terrified they might be exposed to an opinion different from their own. Just because someone expresses something you find offensive doesn't give you the right to silence them. We need to let people express themselves and, if possible, engage them in conversation and debate.
